The Situation
A Wollongong Hospital laboratory needs to be kept at a constant 20 degrees Celsius or test specimens will spoil. The central HVAC system can’t keep it at just the right temperature, so Active Air Rentals got a call.
The Solution
After a site inspection the Active Air team came up with a plan.
Two 20kW Portable Air Conditioners were placed in the laboratory. Three phase power was run from the existing electrical board to the two units. Hot condenser air is ducted out through penetrations cut into the external walls. The condenser water is pumped to a nearby drainage point.
The Results
The air conditioners are working exactly as they should; the laboratory is at constant 20 degrees and the test specimens aren’t spoiling.
