Project:
Taste of Sydney
The Situation:
The World’s Greatest Restaurant Festival, Taste of Sydney, returned to the stunning surrounds of Centennial Park, Sydney over the weekend.
Over 100 exhibitors, including 15 of Sydney’s latest, greatest and hottest restaurants, fashioned special menus for the occasion.
The Solution:
Taste was housed in more than 25 marquees with the majority of exhibitors requiring power. The VIP marquees required air conditioning and as the event was on day and night, temporary outdoor lighting was also required.
After such a successful Taste of Melbourne, Active Air Rentals got the call again.
The Active Air solution included:
- 9 x temporary power generators ranging from 30kVA – 275kVA
- 4 x 56kW packaged unit air conditioners for the VIP area
- 5 x 400amp distribution boards
- 1 x 1000L fuel trailer
- 22 x light towers
- A staff member onsite to ensure it all ran smoothly
The Results:
The team worked in close collaboration with the Taste team and completed bump-in over a couple of days while the the site was built up around them.
The event was a huge success with thousands of foodie enthusiasts attending despite severe storms on Saturday.
‘It was a really great event. The equipment ran 24/7, and even though we were hit with a big storm and high winds we had no issues.’ Commented Dominic Cook, Project Lead, Active Air Rentals.
