As the summer sun blazed over Hobart, the Supreme Court’s air conditioning system struggled to keep up with the rising temperatures. To ensure a comfortable environment for all, Active Air was called upon to provide a supplementary chiller to bolster the existing system.
Active Air swiftly responded, shipping over a powerful 500kW chiller along with essential plant equipment, including a pump, heat exchanger, and buffer tank. But the equipment alone wasn’t enough; the expertise of Active Air’s knowledgeable refrigeration technicians was crucial. They were dispatched to install and commission the new system, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
The task was not without its challenges. The chiller needed to be placed on the roof of the Supreme Court, which was situated on a busy main road. Shutting down the road during the day was not an option, so meticulous planning was required. Engineering and logistics teams worked together to devise a plan to crane the chiller onto the roof without disrupting the bustling city below.
Despite the complexities, the project was executed flawlessly. The chiller was successfully installed and commissioned, providing much-needed relief from the summer heat. The Supreme Court’s staff and visitors enjoyed a cool, comfortable environment, thanks to Active Air’s swift and efficient work.
The job was a resounding success, leaving the client and end users extremely satisfied. Active Air had once again proven their ability to deliver top-notch solutions, even under challenging circumstances.
