The 2022 eastern Australia floods were among the nation’s worst recorded flood disasters. From late February to early May, relentless rains battered South East Queensland, the Wide Bay–Burnett region, and parts of coastal New South Wales. Communities were submerged, homes were lost, and lives were upended.
In the midst of this chaos, Active Air sprang into action. The call for help came from South East Queensland, where a tent city had been set up to shelter volunteers and those affected by the floods. The conditions were harsh—damp, muddy, and challenging. But the team at Active Air was undeterred.
Deploying their equipment and technicians, Active Air provided temporary air conditioning to the tent city. Despite the rough conditions, the team worked tirelessly, navigating the mud and dampness to set up the necessary systems. Their efforts brought much-needed comfort to the flood-affected people and the volunteers working around the clock to assist them.
Through teamwork and determination, Active Air managed to create a semblance of normalcy in an otherwise dire situation. Their swift response and dedication provided a glimmer of hope and relief to those who needed it most during one of Australia’s darkest times.
