In the bustling lead-up to Easter 2016, Woolworths received a colossal shipment of Cadbury Easter eggs. These delightful treats, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, needed to be stored safely in a large warehouse. However, with the warmer months still lingering, there was a significant challenge: ensuring the chocolate eggs didn’t melt or get spoiled.
Enter Active Air, the heroes of this tale. Tasked with transforming the warehouse into a refrigerated storage space, they faced the daunting task of keeping the temperature below 20 degrees Celsius despite the scorching heat outside.
Active Air rose to the occasion, deploying a combination of packaged units and large chillers and strategically positioning 125kW air handling units throughout the warehouse. These units worked tirelessly to disperse cold, conditioned air, battling the ambient heat and ensuring the precious cargo remained intact.
The operation was a resounding success. Not a single Easter egg was spoiled, and the Easter Bunny’s delivery went off without a hitch. Thanks to the ingenuity and hard work of Active Air, the joy of Easter was preserved.
