V8 Supercars – Porsche Carrera Cup

The Background

The V8 Supercars once again roared into Sydney Motorsport Park over the weekend and Active Air had the privilege of providing power and air conditioning for the Porsche Carrera Cup.

The Situation

The Porsche pits (measuring 10m x 60m) required power and distribution, while the Porsche corporate marquee (measuring 10 x 20) required air conditioning as well as power and distribution. Saturday’s unexpected and exceptionally warm weather threw a last minute curve ball with cooling rather than heating being required in the corporate marquee.

The Solution

The Active Air team (including Eric in the selfie above with two time V8 champ and NASCAR sprint cup winner Marcos Ambrose) worked hard to install the required generators, distributionand air conditioning.

To account for the diverse weather we used a combination of 21kW electric blower heaters and 4.5kW portable air conditioners ensuring the VIPs were comfortable no matter the weather outside.

Our team ensured the power never failed with refuelling and equipment checks every morning.
