The Brisbane Showgrounds are currently undergoing regeneration by the RNA and Lend Lease.The project includes the state-of-the-art Royal International Convention Centre, now completed, and the Plaza and Porte-Cochere together with 5.5 hectares of new development comprising of The Green residential apartments, Kings Gate commercial precinct and the creation of King Street.In total that’s 22 hectares, 340,000m2 of new residential, commercial and retail buildings, together with an additional 76,000m2 of new development on RNA retained land. It is the largest Brownfield development of its kind in Australia.Such an epic construction project requires Lend Lease to have temporary on site offices. And those offices require long term temporary air conditioning.
The Lend Lease team called Active Air Rentals. After a site visit and consultation the team decided to use a combination of two sizes of temporary air conditioners:
Fabric ducting has also been installed to ensure even air flow throughout the offices.
The project is expected to last for two years.
