Each Christmas, Active Air Rentals chooses a worthy charity to donate to. This year we have chosen a charity that is a little closer to home.
Last year, our Victoria state manager’s dad, PK was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease (MND). MND is a rapidly progressing, neurological disease that attacks the nerves in the brain and spinal cord, causing the muscles that enable us to move, speak, breathe and swallow to weaken. As yet, it has no cure.
Last year our state manager, Shaun and his sporting brother Joel organised a charity golf day in honour of their dad’s love of the game.
This year, Joel has set an exceptional challenge to raise funds for the Cure for MND Foundation.
Drawing on his sporting endurance background Joel is cycling 3700km from Melbourne to Bunbury, WA in just 20 days.
Joel is aiming to raise $37,000 of which Active Air Rentals has proudly donated $1000.
Joel starts his epic journey this Friday.
